Report: Liverpool consider Saido Berahino move

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, but will have to pay £25m to acquire the 21-year-old in January.

Liverpool are apparently weighing up a move to sign West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino in January.

The Reds have struggled with the absence of Daniel Sturridge due to injury this season, while Mario Balotelli has failed to find his form since his £16m move from AC Milan.

Brendan Rodgers is now considering a swoop for Berahino, but will have to pay £25m to secure the England Under-21 international's signature, reports the Daily Mail.

Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be in the race to sign the 21-year-old, which could start a bidding war between the two clubs when the transfer window reopens.

Berahino has scored seven goals in the Premier League this season for the Baggies.
