Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly considering making a move for Wigan Athletic forward Franco Di Santo.
The pair worked together during their Chelsea days and Rodgers is known to be a keen admirer of the 23-year-old's talents.
Di Santo is out of contract in the summer and, according to The Mirror, Rodgers would be interested in bringing him to Anfield on a free transfer if he fails to agree a new deal at the DW Stadium.
However, Wigan boss Roberto Martinez said last month that he was "pretty confident" of extending Di Santo's current contract.
Di Santo has scored three goals in 18 Premier League appearances this season.
