Former Arsenal forward Gervinho is reportedly a transfer target for Premier League leaders Liverpool.
The 26-year-old, who joined Serie A club Roma last summer, is said to have a clause in his contract which will allow him to leave the Stadio Olimpico in Rome for a cut-price deal of £4m if manager Rudi Garcia leaves.
Brendan Rodgers is a long-time admirer of the Ivorian and could make his move when the transfer window reopens, according to Football Direct News.
The report suggests that Rodgers is keen to add another attacking option to his squad having missed out on Yevhen Konoplyanka in January.
Gervinho has featured 29 times for the Gillorossi this campaign, scoring eight times in the process.
