Report: Brendan Rodgers wants Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom at Celtic

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly keen to sign his former Liverpool player Andre Wisdom.

New Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly keen on bringing Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom to Glasgow.

Rodgers worked with the England Under-21 international during his three-and-a-half-year spell in charge of the Merseyside club.

Wisdom's long-term future at Anfield looks uncertain given that the 23-year-old has been sent on loan to Derby County, West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City in the last three seasons.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Rodgers wants to take a chance on the defender and is willing to pay £3m for his services.

Wisdom joined Liverpool's academy in 2008 from Bradford City.
