Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers keeps quiet on Adam Lallana arrival

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers stays coy when asked if Adam Lallana will be the club's next signing.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has remained coy on the reported imminent arrival of Adam Lallana from Southampton.

Widespread reports have claimed that the England international, who was part of the Three Lions' failed World Cup campaign in Brazil, will move to Anfield for a fee in the region of £25m.

On Sunday, Sports Mole reported that the 26-year-old has finalised the deal and will wear the number 20 shirt next season.

Despite reports that the deal has not been held up, the Merseyside outfit are yet to officially confirm the midfielder's arrival.

According to the Irish Examiner, when asked if Lallana would be Liverpool's next signing, Rodgers said: "I wouldn't tell you.

"I would love to stand here and tell you. We still have signings to make to ensure we have the squad strength to cope."

Rodgers also refused to be drawn on the situation surrounding Luis Suarez, who has been given a four-month ban for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.
