Report: Mohamed Salah threatens to quit Liverpool after Nabil Fekir deal collapse

Mohamed Salah is unhappy with Liverpool's failure to sign Nabil Fekir and is considering offers from Barcelona and Real Madrid, according to a report from Spain.

Mohamed Salah has allegedly threatened to quit Liverpool following the Reds' failure to sign Nabil Fekir, according to a report from Spain.

The Egypt international enjoyed a stellar debut season at Anfield, scoring 44 goals and registering 14 assists in 53 appearances in all competitions.

Salah's impressive form for club and country over the past 12 months has seen him linked with La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, as well as several other big European clubs.

Meanwhile, Fekir was set to join Liverpool from Lyon but the Reds reportedly tried to lower the transfer fee after discovering an ongoing knee issue during his medical, which led to the deal's collapse.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Salah wanted the France international to join the Merseysiders following a remarkable season in France, and is unhappy at how the deal broke down.

The report goes on to claim that the 25-year-old has sent his club an ultimatum expressing his feelings and is now thought to be considering offers from Barca and Real.

Salah is contracted to Liverpool until June 2022.
