Luis Suarez: 'I'll stay at Liverpool until the end of the season'

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez rules out a January exit from Anfield by revealing that he will stay at the club until the end of the season.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has revealed that he will remain at Anfield until the close of the season.

The Uruguayan has been touted as a possible departure from Merseyside in January following reports that Real Madrid are preparing to launch a £65m bid for the prolific forward.

While the 26-year-old has effectively ruled out a move away from the club in the winter window, there are still suggestions that a summer switch is on the cards.

"I am happy off the field and feel at home, the Premier League is the best league in the world," Marca quotes Suarez as saying. "Yes, I am happy here and will stay at Liverpool until the end of the season."

Suarez, who tried to orchestrate a transfer in the summer, is the league's top scorer with 13 goals, despite missing the first five matches due to a ban.

Four of his last goals came in yesterday's 5-1 win over Norwich City.
