West Ham United are aiming to ward off interest from Liverpool for Jarrod Bowen, according to a report.
The 25-year-old has made 25 appearances in the Premier League so far for the Hammers, finding the back of the net eight times, with his most recent taking place during their most recent outing against Leicester City.
Only Mohamed Salah has more goals and assists in the English top-flight this season, which has led to him being linked with a call-up to the England setup.
According to the Evening Standard, West Ham are planning to open up contract talks with Bowen during the summer in a bid to tie him down for the foreseeable future, due to interest from Liverpool.
The winger still has three and a half years on his existing deal with the Hammers, having signed from Hull City in January 2020 for £20m.
West Ham United are back in action on Saturday when they face Newcastle United.
