Luke Rooney signs short-term Luton Town deal

Midfielder Luke Rooney signs a new six-month deal to remain at Luton Town.

Luton Town have agreed terms on a six-month contract with midfielder Luke Rooney.

Rooney played six times for the Hatters towards the end of the last campaign after signing from Maidstone, and the former Swindon Town player is keen to make his mark at Kenilworth Road.

The 23-year-old told the club's official website: "It's fair to say that Luton supporters haven't seen the best of me. I intend to take this chance to show them what I can really offer."

Luton will compete in League Two this season after winning the Conference Premier title by 19 points last year.
