Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who is available on a free transfer this summer after leaving Malaga, says that he wants to "continue in La Liga" next season.

Mexico's number one Guillermo Ochoa has revealed that he wants to "continue in La Liga" next season.

The 31-year-old, who spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Granada, is available on a free transfer this summer after his contract with parent club Malaga ended.

Inter Milan and Marseille have both been credited with an interest in the experienced goalkeeper, but Ochoa has said that his first choice would be to stay in Spain.

"We have to wait and see what happens," Ochoa told Marca. "We have to put the options on the table and evaluate them with calmness. I like Spain, and I would like to continue in La Liga.

"What I need to do is do the talking on the pitch and we shall then see if my future is in Spain or elsewhere. My attention right now is on the national team and helping Mexico achieve good results. The rest will come later.

"But I'm calm, I don't put pressure on myself. There's a time when you learn to separate things, not to be stressed or in a hurry otherwise you can make bad decisions."

Ochoa is currently with the Mexico squad at the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia.
