Manchester City's Sergio Aguero: 'We've found our stride in Champions League'

Sergio Aguero says that Manchester City have found their "stride" in the Champions League as they face Juventus having already qualified for the knockout rounds.

Manchester City star Sergio Aguero has claimed that the team have finally found their "stride" in the Champions League.

The former English champions have struggled to get past the round-of-16 stage in recent seasons.

Manuel Pellegrini's side managed to secure their place in the knockout rounds almost three weeks ago with a 3-1 win over Sevilla, and they can top Group D with an away win over Juventus on Wednesday.

"I've always said it was only a matter of time before we got into our stride in the Champions League," The Express quotes Aguero as saying. "Since I arrived here, the draw has been very tough on us. We have always drawn great teams in the group stages, teams which got through to the semi-finals or final, but we have to be prepared for that.

"In previous campaigns maybe we didn't have the experience, maybe some players did not know what it was like to play in the Champions League.

"So the first few seasons were difficult, dealing with the nerves and the expectations, but now most of us have enough experience. We have very good players and I think we are on the right path."

City head into this week's match off the back of a 4-1 defeat to Liverpool.
