Injured Sinan Bytyqi returns to Manchester City

Young Manchester City forward Sinan Bytyqi suffers a serious knee injury during his loan spell with Cambuur.

Manchester City striker Sinan Bytyqi has had his loan spell with Cambuur cut short because of a knee injury.

The 20-year-old, who signed a new contract with City back in January, lasted just 23 minutes of Cambuur's Eredivisie clash against Heracles Almelo at the weekend before he was forced off with a knee injury.

A subsequent scan has revealed cruciate ligament damage and as a result, he will undergo his recovery period back in Manchester.

The Austrian made nine appearances for Cambuur, from which he contributed one assist.
