Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola hints at Serie A move

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says that he would be interested in taking charge of a Serie A club in the future.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed that he would be interested in managing a Serie A club when his time in England has finished.

Guardiola was in charge of Barcelona's first team between 2008 and 2012 before leaving for Bayern Munich, where he spent three years ahead of a switch to the Etihad Stadium.

The Spaniard has already completed three years in Manchester, and his contract with the reigning English champions is due to expire at the end of next season.

The 48-year-old turned out for Brescia and Roma during his playing career and has suggested that he would seriously consider a return to Serie A as a head coach.

"Training in Italy? Why not. It was a pleasure [to be there] as a player, with the great [Carlo] Mazzone [former Brescia manager]. I had a great time and I love the country but now I feel good in England, it's a great championship. But maybe yes, I'm not that old," Guardiola told Sky Italia.

The former midfielder has won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and two League Cups during his time in charge of the Citizens.
