Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has revealed his excitement at the prospect of getting to play with David Silva on a more consistent basis.
Silva made a return from injury for City in the club's win over Southampton at the weekend, and De Bruyne has suggested that the pair could cause real problems as they begin to develop a deeper understanding on the pitch.
"We haven't played that much together and it's been really difficult for both of us, but he's such a great player that it's easy to play together with him," said De Bruyne, according to the Daily Star.
"Everybody has his own style so I think we play almost in the same position, but we are very different players so it's better to have different players who play together than to have all the same.
"I'm more direct than him. He can keep the ball a little bit more than me so having the two together - that's an advantage because we can switch different things."
City currently hold top spot in the Premier League standings on 29 points.
