Pep Guardiola hopes to finish coaching career at Barcelona

Pep Guardiola outlines his intention to return to youth-team coaching in the future, preferably at former club Barcelona.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that he intends to finish his coaching career where he started by returning to Barcelona one day.

The 47-year-old has a strong affinity to the Spanish champions after spending nearly two decades at the club during his playing days, before taking his first steps in management at Camp Nou.

Prior to guiding Barca's senior side to 14 major honours, Guardiola enjoyed title success with their 'B' side, and he hopes to head back in the future to help bring through the next crop of youngsters.

"I will finish again where I started, my last steps will be in the youth teams - I hope at Barcelona," he is quoted as saying by The Sun.

Guardiola signed a contract extension in May to keep him at the Etihad Stadium until 2021.
