Stevan Jovetic hoping to keep Manchester City place

Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic aims to keep his place after his brace against Liverpool on Monday evening.

Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic is aiming to keep his place in the side after his brace helped defeat Liverpool on Monday evening.

The Montenegro international scored twice before Sergio Aguero netted almost immediately after his introduction from the substitutes' bench, and Jovetic is hoping to stay in the starting lineup after his eye-catching performance.

He told reporters after the game: "I just want to enjoy with this team with these players and to win as many titles as we can.

"It's difficult to keep my place, I know that, but my job is just to go out on to the pitch and do my best."

City have taken maximum points from their first two games.
