James Milner says that Manchester City are not bothered by their critics as they try to stay top of the Premier League.

James Milner has said that he is not bothered by critics of Manchester City.

The Blues have had a number of off-field incidents to deal with this season, including the recent Carlos Tevez saga.

However, Milner has said that the players are only concentrating on staying top of the Premier League table.

"As a team, we just keep moving forward," he said.

"There always seems to be things going on off the field at Manchester City and people wanting to knock you down with distractions.

"All we can do is concentrate on what we're there to do and that's play football and work hard in training."

City host Milner's former club Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
