John Stones: 'Dream come true to win Premier League title'

Manchester City centre-back John Stones says that winning this season's Premier League title is "a dream come true".

Manchester City centre-back John Stones has said that winning this season's Premier League title is "a dream come true".

City were named the champions in the middle of last month, but were officially presented with the trophy following Sunday's goalless draw with Huddersfield Town at the Etihad Stadium.

Stones joined City from Everton in the summer of 2016, and the England international has landed the Premier League title at the end of his second campaign with the Citizens.

"It's literally a dream come true. Me and Kyle Walker were saying it's why we came here. I never knew what it would be like to lift the title and it's a dream come true," Stones told Sky Sports News.

"Pep [Guardiola] pushes us every day, never lets the standards slip, it's credit to him and his staff. He'd never say it's just about him and his staff."

Stones has struggled with injury in the second half of the season, but played 73 minutes of the clash with Huddersfield.
