Aston Villa will attempt to halt Manchester City's title challenge by securing a victory on home turf this Sunday.

Manchester City have the chance to stay at the top of the Premier League table with a tough away fixture to Aston Villa on Sunday.

The pressure could be on Roberto Mancini's side to snatch the lead for the title if Manchester United manage to claim a victory over Liverpool on Saturday. However, a trip to Villa Park will not be an easy job for the North West side.

Alex McLeish is expected to keep Darren Bent and loanee Robbie Keane up front, with the Los Angeles Galaxy striker playing off the former Sunderland star.

Despite Charles N'Zogbia's negative comments regarding life in the Midlands, McLeish is likely to keep the midfielder in the fold for the visit of Man City.

The league leaders are expected to welcome back skipper Vincent Kompany, who missed City's 3-0 win over Fulham last weekend through injury.

Samir Nasri could lose his spot in midfield with Gareth Barry holding the centre and Adam Johnson staring on the wing for the North West side.

Current form:

Aston Villa: WLDWDL
Manchester City: LWWWLW

Possible lineups:

Aston Villa: Given; Hutton, Dunne, Cuellar, Warnock; N'Zogbia, Clark, Petrov, Ireland; Keane, Bent

Manchester City: Hart; Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Kolarov; Johnson, Barry, Silva, Milner; Dzeko, Aguero

Sports Mole says: 1-2
