Team News: Frank Lampard starts for Manchester City against West Ham United

Manchester City make four changes for the visit of West Ham United in the Premier League, including handing Frank Lampard a start against his former club.

Frank Lampard is one of four changes to the Manchester City starting lineup for their Premier League clash with former club West Ham United.

Manuel Pellegrini recalls Eliaquim Mangala in place of the injured Vincent Kompany, while Aleksandr Kolarov and Fernando also play for the Blues.

Wilfried Bony, James Milner, Stevan Jovetic and Gael Clichy are all missing for the Citizens, who could take a step closer to securing Champions League football next season with a win.

Meanwhile, Hammers boss Sam Allardyce has decided not to risk Diafra Sakho after the Senegalese forward picked up a thigh strain against Stoke City last weekend.

His absence means that Carlton Cole retains his place in the starting lineup to face the defending champions.

Enner Valencia also starts for West Ham, despite picking up a foot injury in last week's draw at Upton Park.

Manchester City: Hart, Zabaleta, Demichelis, Mangala, Kolarov, Fernando, Navas, Yaya Toure, Lampard, Silva, Aguero
Subs: Caballero, Sagna, Boyata, Fernandinho, Nasri, Dzeko, Pozo

West Ham United: Adrian, Reid, Cresswell, Kouyate, Downing, Noble, Jenkinson, Collins, Cole, Song, Valencia
Subs: Jaaskelainen, Nolan, Jarvis, Nene, O'Brien, Amalfitano, Burke
