Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry believes that high-quality players will sign for the club following Yaya Toure's commitment.

Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry believes that the club will attract top talent to the club in the summer transfer window.

The England international believes that new arrivals will boost the North-West outfit's campaign next season following Yaya Toure's decision to pen a new contract at the Etihad Stadium.

"When a player like him gets a new deal, it is a lift for everyone," Barry told Sky Sports News. "You don't want to see players like that leaving. You want others like him coming in.

"When you can keep players like him for another four years, I am sure there will be others coming in, of the same level, to join him."

While City are unlikely to keep their Premier League title this season, they remain in the running for the FA Cup, with a semi-final against Chelsea coming up this Sunday.
