Inter Milan have ruled out making a summer move for Barcelona captain Lionel Messi.
The 33-year-old handed in a transfer request at the Spanish giants last week and is now embroiled in a bitter contractual dispute as he looks to force an exit ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Inter Milan had been named as one of the clubs interested in signing Messi, but sporting director Piero Ausilio has insisted that there is no truth to those rumours.
"We're not going to sign Leo Messi. I don't even know where are coming from these crazy rumours," Ausilio told Sky Sport Italia.
Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move for the six-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Messi has scored a record 634 goals in 731 games for Barcelona.
