Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico has allegedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Manchester City.
Since linking up with the Dutch giants in 2018, Tagliafico has established himself as one of the best-performing left-backs in European football.
While Ajax are unlikely to consider any offers in January, the 27-year-old will have just two years left on his contract in the summer, putting any interested clubs on alert.
According to reports in Spain, City manager Pep Guardiola has identified the Argentina international as a possible replacement for Benjamin Mendy.
Despite having been able to play more first-team football this season, Mendy has struggled to hit the heights expected of him after a succession of injuries.
With City having under-performed in the Premier League during the current campaign, Guardiola is expected to make significant changes to his squad later in 2020.
