Manchester City 'offer Kevin De Bruyne new deal'

Manchester City reportedly offer Kevin De Bruyne a new bumper contract, and there is optimism that the playmaker will pen fresh terms before the end of the season.

Manchester City have reportedly tabled another new-and-improved contract offer to playmaker Kevin De Bruyne.

Negotiations over fresh terms for the former Chelsea man have been ongoing for a number of months, and he was understood to have been growing increasingly frustrated over the time it was taking to agree a new deal.

De Bruyne reportedly rejected City's first offer of a new contract back in January, but manager Pep Guardiola affirmed that he was not concerned about the future of his inspirational playmaker.

Now, The Times reports that the Premier League leaders have come back with another offer for De Bruyne which they feel is enough to convince him to commit his future to the club.

The report claims that the 29-year-old can expect an increase on his £310k-per-week wages, and there is optimism from both player and club that a new deal can be finalised before the current campaign concludes.

De Bruyne has scored three goals and set up 16 more across all competitions this term for Guardiola's side, where he is currently under contract until 2023.
