Manchester City 'no longer considering selling Jack Grealish'

Manchester City are no longer considering selling English attacker Jack Grealish during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Manchester City have reportedly changed their mind when it comes to the future of Jack Grealish, with the attacker becoming a vital player for the club this year.

Last December, it was claimed that Man City would be prepared to sell Grealish during this summer's transfer window in order to fund a big-money move from Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham.

Meanwhile, it had also been reported that Grealish had told his close friends that he would not be at the Etihad Stadium next season due to his initial struggles.

However, according to Football Insider, Man City have changed their mind over the England international, who will not be for sale under any circumstances this summer.

The report claims that Citizens head coach Pep Guardiola now views Grealish as a certain starter due to his form since returning from the 2022 World Cup.

The attacker signed a six-year contract with Man City upon his arrival from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021.

Grealish has now featured on 80 occasions for the English champions in all competitions, contributing 11 goals and 13 assists in the process.

This season, meanwhile, the attacker has contributed five goals and nine assists in 41 appearances in all competitions, including five goals and six assists in 24 Premier League outings.

Grealish provided a goal and an assist in the 4-1 win over Liverpool earlier this month before doing the same in the 4-1 success at Southampton in the team's next league outing.

Man City are believed to be keen to sign Bellingham during this summer's transfer window but will have to part with some first-team players in the upcoming market to balance the books.

Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips could both reportedly be on their way out of the club this summer, while Ilkay Gundogan only has a contract with the Citizens until the end of June.

Aymeric Laporte is also being linked with an exit, with the Spaniard struggling for regular starts this term due to the form of Ruben Dias, John Stones, Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji.

Guardiola's side will take on Sheffield United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Saturday before hosting Arsenal for a gigantic Premier League clash next Wednesday.

Arsenal dropped more league points against Southampton on Friday night, with the 3-3 draw leaving the Gunners five points clear of second-placed Man City in the table, with the Citizens having two games spare.
