Costel Pantilimon has completed his move to Manchester City after being granted a work permit.
The Romanian international goalkeeper joins from Politehnica Timisoara to become City manager Roberto Mancini's fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Gael Clichy, Stefan Savic and Sergio Aguero.
The 24-year-old has arrived at the Etihad Stadium on a initial one-year loan deal with a view to a permanent move next summer.
City will pay Timisoara £300,000 up front, rising to £3.4m should they wish make the signing long-term.
