Real Madrid are reportedly keeping a close eye on Raheem Sterling's situation at Manchester City.
The England international has often been demoted to the bench in recent weeks after netting just once in his last 12 matches, with Phil Foden staking his claim for a regular starting spot on the left.
Sterling was given the nod in Saturday's FA Cup semi-final with Chelsea, but he once again drew criticism from supporters in that 1-0 defeat, and the club have supposedly placed talks over an extension beyond 2023 on hold.
As a result, the Daily Star claims that Real Madrid are prepared to reignite their interest in the England international, whom they tried to sign previously before accepting that his future belonged in Manchester.
However, the report adds that Sterling is still content at the Etihad, and he is expecting to resume negotiations over a new contract after this summer's European Championships.
City are believed to have slapped an £80m price tag on the head of the former Liverpool man, who boasts nine goals and seven assists from 27 Premier League outings this term.
