Manchester United accept Nemanja Vidic ban

Manchester United are not planning to appeal Nemanja Vidic's two-match Champions League suspension.

Manchester United have decided not to appeal the remaining two matches of Nemanja Vidic's European suspension, according to The Telegraph.

The United captain was sent off during their 2-0 victory over Romanian side Otelul Galati in Bucharest for a late challenge.

At the time, manager Sir Alex Ferguson said that he could understand why the referee had chosen to hand the Serbian centre-back his marching orders.

The 30-year-old will now miss United's final group games against Benfica and FC Basel.
