Half-Time Report: Manchester United being held by Cambridge United

Neither Manchester United nor Cambridge United score in the first half of their FA Cup tie in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Manchester United have headed into half time level with Cambridge United following a goalless opening 45 minutes in their fourth-round FA Cup tie this evening.

The hosts made a bright start, controlling possession in the opening 10 minutes before Ryan Donaldson set up Tom Elliott for a shot, but the striker's header was just wide.

Cambridge continued to threaten from set pieces, although the visitors started to create chances too, with Valencia racing down the wing before crossing in towards Adnan Januzaj, but the keeper claimed it before the Belgian could get his shot away.

The League Two side had the best chance of the first half with just over half an hour gone when Michael Nelson tried to head in from a corner, but his effort was blocked by teammate Josh Coulson, who then nodded the ball high.

Louis van Gaal's side started to see the majority of the ball in the final 10 minutes of the half, but Angel di Maria blasted an effort well wide, while Daley Blind forced a save from Chris Dunn.

Di Maria had another chance shortly before the break when the visitors won a free kick around 30 yards out, but his curling effort ended up in the stand behind the goal.
