Man United's Angel di Maria 'fit for Chelsea showdown, despite suffering knock'

Manchester United's Angel di Maria is reportedly expected to be fit for Sunday's clash against Chelsea, despite suffering a knock against West Brom.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly confident that Angel di Maria will be fit to play in Sunday's Premier League head-to-head against Chelsea, despite suffering a knock on Monday.

The Argentina international limped off the Hawthorns pitch during his side's 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion and was seen placing an ice pack on his groin.

According to The Express, Di Maria went into United's Carrington training base on his day off yesterday to receive treatment, but the problem is not serious enough to put him out of the team for Sunday's clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

United are currently 10 points behind Premier League leaders Chelsea.
