Manchester United youngster Tyler Blackett has expressed his desire to force his way into the plans of England manager Roy Hodgson.
The 20-year-old's future was sorted out yesterday following confirmation that he had signed a new contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2017.
Now settled at club level, the defender has turned his attention to senior international football.
"I want to kick on and to challenge the players in front of me and get a regular place in the first team. Hopefully I can get call-ups for England, push on and be more established in this great club," he told the club's official website.
Blackett has been capped on one occasion by England at Under-21 level.
