Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has claimed that new Manchester United signing Paul Pogba can become the best player in the world, comparing him to Zinedine Zidane.
The Italy international, who has played with both Zidane and Pogba at Juve, believes that the latter has improved greatly since arriving in Turin as a teenager in 2012.
The 38-year-old shot-stopper told Sky Sports News: "[Pogba] is a tremendous warrior on the pitch but also has so much talent.
"His control of the ball and the way he can swiftly change the play from defence to attack is special - and for us it hurts to lose him.
"It's not easy to compare him to greats of the past but he has many details of the games of both Michel Platini and Zinedine Zidane."
Pogba won four Serie A titles with Juventus and reached the final of the Champions League in 2015, where the Bianconeri lost to Barcelona.
