Radamel Falcao keen to bring Colombia form to Manchester United

Radamel Falcao says that he will return to Manchester United with more confidence after rediscovering his form in front of goal for Colombia during the international break.

Colombia striker Radamel Falcao has said that he will return to Manchester United with more confidence after rediscovering his form in front of goal during the international break.

The 29-year-old scored a penalty in Monday's 3-1 victory over Kuwait to equal his country's goalscoring record, adding to his two goals in last week's 6-0 win over Bahrain.

Falcao has scored just four goals in 19 games in the Premier League this season since joining United on a season-long loan from Monaco, but he hopes that his displays for his country will help him to prove his worth at Old Trafford.

"I think when I score it's always important and that gives me confidence. I said before I need minutes, I need to play games in a row and here in the national team I have had the opportunity. I gave my best and I scored and I now return to Manchester with more confidence," he told Sport 360.

"We have the last eight games, I will give my best to have the chance to play as many minutes as possible. I have said before I need to play. I need minutes and I am confident about me, about my fitness. I am confident."

Falcao is widely expected to leave the Premier League when his loan expires in the summer.
