Queens Park Rangers midfielder Leroy Fer has suggested that international teammate Memphis Depay will deal with the criticism he faces at Manchester United.
The 21-year-old joined the Red Devils on a four-year deal from PSV Eindhoven in the summer, with the Dutch winger having scored 22 goals in 30 Eredivisie appearances for the club last season.
Depay has made just nine Premier League starts so far this season though, netting twice, and the Netherlands international has faced criticism for his performances from manager Louis van Gaal.
Fer told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf: "Memphis has received a lot of criticism from the outside.
"He has suffered some ups and downs but believe me, its okay with him and he'll be fine - at least I think so.
"I think it's time he let his feet do all the talking."
Depay has scored three goals in 20 international appearances for the Netherlands, after making his debut under Van Gaal in 2013.
