Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirms Phil Jones will return against Wigan.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Phil Jones will return on Monday, but he expects to be without Ashley Young for "a few weeks".

The United boss is without a number of players as he enters the festive period, and has admitted that it is not an easy spell for the club.

Ferguson said of Jones: "He should be ok for Monday, he's got a bit of swelling in his jaw but no break, no fracture which is good news. But not so good about Ashley Young, I think he is going to be out for a few weeks," Ferguson told Sky Sports News.

"Not great news about the other ones... As we get one back, we lose another one so it's not an easy spell for us."

Ferguson's side host Wigan in the Premier League on Monday afternoon.
