Former Manchester United youth team manager Eric Harrison has insisted that Ryan Giggs will be a success in his coaching role at Old Trafford.
Giggs, who is still part of the playing squad despite his new role, was appointed to manager David Moyes's backroom staff this summer.
"Without doubt Ryan will be a success. He is a football nut. I am glad he is doing what he is doing," Harrison told BBC Sport.
"It would have been a tragedy if he had said 'right, I am going to play golf every day'. He gets bored after five minutes if it is not football."
The Welshman has been with United since 1990, making 942 appearances for the club in the process.
