Manchester United defender Phil Jones believes that there is still "a long way to go" in the Premier League title race.

Manchester United defender Phil Jones has insisted that he and his teammates are not getting carried away by their current form in the Premier League.

The Red Devils are six points clear of defending English champions and second-placed Manchester City at the top of the league table at the moment.

"I hope we can [win the title] because, like the fans, we really want to win that trophy back," he told the United Review.

"Just because we want to do it and we believe we can do it doesn't mean we will do it though. There is a long way to go and we're not getting carried away."

United finished second behind City on goal difference in the Premier League last season.
