Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard vows to be number one at the club for the next ten years.

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has insisted that he will attempt to remain as first choice at the club for the next ten years.

Lindegaard, 27, has ousted young Spanish stopper David de Gea between the posts this season, but has backed the summer signing to come good.

"David has extraordinary attributes. He's extremely explosive and powerful, and he's still only 21. His potential is massive and there's no doubt he will be United's best goalkeeper at some point," Lindegaard told The Mirror.

"My job is to make sure it is not until I have retired. Which is in ten years ... I think both David and myself have played well when we've been thrown into it, and it's obvious we both want to play every game."

Lindegaard is expected to keep his place in the side when United travel to Arsenal on Sunday.
