Manchester United hails the return of veteran midfielder Paul Scholes.

Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has hailed the return of veteran midfielder Paul Scholes.

The 37-year-old, who came out of retirement last week, scored United's first goal in Saturday's 3-0 win over Bolton Wanderers.

Lindegaard believes that the former England international has the relevant experience to help the team's Premier League title charge.

"It was brilliant to see Scholes get that goal," Lindegaard told talkSPORT. "I think he played brilliantly until he came off in the second half and he is giving us a bit more safety in the team.

"He's got a lot of experience we can benefit from and he was brilliant [against Bolton]. He is a man to look up to. He's been in the game for so long. No-one knows Manchester United as well as he does."

The Red Devils face a crunch trip to Arsenal in the league on Sunday.
