Manchester United's Juan Mata has no intention of returning to La Liga just yet

Juan Mata insists that he has no plans to leave Manchester United for a return to La Liga any time soon.

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has insisted that he has not considered returning to La Liga as he claims that he has "many things to do" in the Premier League.

The Spain international has spent five years in England having played for Chelsea and now the Red Devils.

The 27-year-old had a three-year spell at Stamford Bridge after joining from Valencia in 2011, but opted to sign for United under former manager David Moyes in 2014.

"Right now I don't even think about [returning to La Liga]," Mata told El Pais. "I miss family, my friends, but I'm very happy in Manchester. I have the feeling that I have just arrived here and I still have many things to do."

United are third in the league table, two points behind leaders Manchester City after eight games.
