Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly involved in an angry dressing-row bust-up with Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson following his side's derby defeat.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was reportedly involved in an angry dressing-room bust-up with Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson following his side's 2-1 derby defeat at Old Trafford this afternoon.

Goals from David Silva and Nicolas Otamendi saw City come away from the home of their local rivals and closest challengers with a record-breaking 14th consecutive Premier League win, opening up an 11-point gap at the top of the table in the process.

City's dressing-room celebrations after the match reportedly irritated Mourinho, and The Telegraph claims that the Portuguese went to the door of his opponents to ask them to show more respect by turning their music down.

However, the report goes on to state that Mourinho's actions resulted in an angry reaction from the City players, and that goalkeeper Ederson became involved in a heated exchange with the United boss.

Sources have claimed that Mourinho had milk and water thrown at him as he was walking away from the row with Ederson.

The Daily Mail reports that Mourinho also had water squirted at him and was hit on the head by an empty plastic bottle, resulting in a melee which involved more than 20 players and staff from both clubs.

United's players were understood to be furious with their opponents for what they deemed to be excessive celebrations as City took a big step towards the Premier League title.
