Manchester United will reportedly have to pay £10m in compensation if they want to appoint Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager.

Manchester United would reportedly have to pay Paris Saint-Germain a fee of £10m if they want to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as their next manager.

On Sunday, United announced that they had parted ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, signalling their intent to bring in a fresh face on an interim basis until the end of the campaign.

However, despite the club's official statement, Pochettino is said to be open to a switch to Old Trafford if a deal can be agreed between the relevant parties.

According to The Mirror, United would need to shell out £10m if they want to secure the services of the Argentine as soon as possible.

As it stands, such a move appears unlikely with Michael Carrick having been handed the reins on a caretaker basis for the upcoming games.

Nevertheless, United may be prepared to eventually pay the clause in Pochettino's contract with the 49-year-old known to have admirers behind the scenes.
