Injuries prevent Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young from featuring for Manchester United against Newcastle United.

Wayne Rooney and Ashley Young have both missed out on places in the Manchester United squad to take on Newcastle United this afternoon because of unspecified injuries.

The English pair suffered the complaints during yesterday's training session at Carrington, according to the club.

Meanwhile, Danny Welbeck has also not been included because he was taken ill overnight.
