Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he is humiliated after his side were beaten 8-2 by Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said he was left humiliated after his side were beaten 8-2 by Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Gunners have picked up only one point from their first three games of the season, and sit one place above the drop zone.

"Of course you feel humiliated when you concede eight goals. It was a terrible day, I feel terribly painful about it," said the Frenchman.

"I do feel it was under special circumstances. We had a lot players out and we have played only five games. It is not the end of the season where you make a balance of everything.

"We collapsed physically towards the end but we had eight players out."

Arsenal’s next Premier League game is at home to Swansea City on Saturday, September 10.
