Manchester United midfielder Anderson open to Gremio return

Manchester United's Brazilian midfielder Anderson is open to the prospect of returning to his first club Gremio.

Anderson has indicated that he would be prepared to rejoin his hometown club Gremio.

The 26-year-old moved to Europe with Porto in 2006, before going on to join Manchester United a year later.

It is believed that the Brazilian is not in Louis van Gaal's plans at Old Trafford, which has resulted in speculation that he could leave the club in January.

A return to Brazil has been mooted and when asked if he would consider a second stint with Gremio, Anderson told Radio Bandeirantes: "There's always the possibility of returning to Gremio. It's my home and I still support them. Everyone knows that. It would allow me to be near my family."

The eight-time Brazil international, who spent part of last season on loan at Fiorentina, has made just 10 appearances for United over the previous two campaigns.
