FC Pune City have reportedly identified Manchester United's Anderson as the ideal player to bolster their midfield options.
The Brazilian has featured just once as a substitute for Louis van Gaal's side this season and is believed to be surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
That has alerted Pune, who would be open to the prospect of signing the 26-year-old, initially on a loan basis until January, according to Goal India.
It has been further speculated that Pune's chief executive Gaurav Modwel has also put a move in place for former Chelsea and Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Modwel is thought to want both deals to be completed before the Indian Super League gets underway on October 12.
