Laurent Blanc: 'We will do everything to keep hold of Marquinhos'

Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc insists that the Parisian club will do everything they can in order to keep hold of defender Marquinhos.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has insisted that the club will do whatever they can to keep hold of defender Marquinhos.

The centre-back has attracted the interest of a number of European clubs, with reports suggesting that Louis van Gaal wants to bring him to Manchester United in the summer.

"Marquinhos has a spirit and a special mentality," said Blanc, according to The Express.

"We have done everything to keep him and we will do everything possible to extend his contract.

"It is good that as a player he can operate in different defensive roles, and let's not forget he is just 20 years old. He and Adrien Rabiot represent the future of PSG."

Blanc's PSG side currently occupy second spot in the Ligue 1 table.
