Bordeaux are reportedly considering making a loan move for Manchester United centre-back Phil Jones before the January transfer window closes for business.
The 29-year-old featured against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League at the start of the month - his first appearance for the Red Devils in nearly two years.
The Englishman remains down the pecking order at Old Trafford, though, and he has been an unused substitute for his side's last three Premier League games against Aston Villa, Brentford and West Ham United.
There has been speculation surrounding the defender's future in recent days, with a number of clubs said to be interested in signing him on a short-term basis.
According to The Athletic, Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux are keen on the former Blackburn Rovers youngster and could attempt to acquire him on loan for the remainder of the season.
Benfica and Burnley are also among the clubs to be linked with the Englishman, who is allegedly valued by Man United in the region of £15m despite his lack of action over the last couple of years.
