Bryan Robson urges Manchester United to sign Pedro from Barcelona

Former Manchester United skipper Bryan Robson says that Barcelona's Pedro would be a "very good signing" for the club.

Former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson has backed the club's pursuit of Barcelona forward Pedro.

Red Devils chief executive Ed Woodward has reportedly flown out to Spain to broker a £22m deal for the player, and Robson was quick to offer his seal of approval.

"I think we definitely need another striker, because if we get injuries to Memphis [Depay] or Chicharito or [Wayne] Rooney...," he told talkSPORT.

"We're very short on strikers at the moment, so I think Pedro would be a very good signing for United."

Recent reports suggest that Chelsea are planning to hijack United's move for Pedro with a late bid of their own.
