Chelsea 'step up interest in Ben Chilwell'

Chelsea step up their interest in Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, according to a report.

Chelsea have reportedly accelerated their interest in Leicester City's Ben Chilwell after losing out to Paris Saint-Germain for the signature of Porto's Alex Telles.

The Blues are expected to move for a new left-back during this summer's transfer window with both Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso being tipped to move on.

Chilwell and Telles have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, but according to Gauchazh, PSG have won the race to sign the latter.

As a result, the report claims that Chelsea are likely to step up their interest in Chilwell, who has scored twice and provided four assists in 28 appearances for the Foxes this season.

Leicester are in a strong position when it comes to the 23-year-old's future, though, as he has a contract at the King Power Stadium until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

The England international has also previously been linked with Manchester United and Manchester City.
